From the Billings Police Department:

Today, May 20th, 2024 at 10:05 AM, Billings Police Department Officers responded to the 100 block of South 28th Street in Billings for a shooting.

Officers arrived on the scene and located all of the involved parties. The initial investigation showed a disturbance occurred between a 49-year-old male and an 82-year-old male who are both residents of that neighborhood.

During the altercation, the 82-year-old male shot the 49-year-old male.

The 49-year-old male was transported to an area hospital by AMR, and the 82-year-old is cooperating with investigators.

BPD Detectives have responded to the scene and will be handling the investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.
