For the second consecutive year, Cat Country is teaming up with St. Vincent Healthcare Foundation to present the second annual Call for Kids Radiothon to benefit St. Vincent Children's Healthcare.

This year's goal is $100,000. Last year's Radiothon raised $93,000.

The Call for Kids Radiothon will be held Tuesday, February 16 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Listen to Cat Country 102.9 to hear stories of courage, hope and strength.

Money raised will benefit St. Vincent Children’s Healthcare, including Montana and Wyoming’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

staffed 24/7 by Pediatric Intensivists. Thanks to the generous support of the community, more than $93,000 was raised during last year’s event. This year, we’ve set a goal to hit the $100,000 mark!

The radiothon benefits patients like Chloe Thompson, who became critically ill when she was just 1 week old. She was admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, where she was treated for 3 1/2 weeks.

“We felt like the nurses and doctors and St. Vincent Children’s Healthcare were always one step ahead of where her condition was going,” said Chloe’s mom, Jen, in a prepared statement. “It honestly starts to feel like they’re part of your family. You’re going through this for so long. They made little posters for her out of foam letters that said, ‘Angel Baby’ and all these sweet things that we still have hanging on our wall.”

By donating, you ensure that the youngest, most fragile patients have the best technology, programs and facilities to heal close to home. You are giving children, like Chloe, the healthy futures they deserve.

“Having great medical care for our kids here is so important. When it gets that critical and it is that minute-to-minute and you feel like it’s that second-to-second, you don’t want to waste time doing anything else. You want to know that you have the resources in your community to go to when it’s needed,” said Jen. “And if you’re ever in that situation, you’d never wish it on anybody, but as soon as you’re there you are so grateful.”

In addition to making a difference in the lives of Montana’s youngest patients, the St. Vincent Healthcare Foundation is offering a bit more incentive. For every $100 donated to our pediatric program, the donor’s name will be entered to win a priceless piece of NFL memorabilia: an autographed football from the Denver Broncos.
