‘Crimson Peak’ to Replace Emma Stone With Mia Wasikowska?
Looks like Emma Stone is out of Guillermo del Toro's upcoming ghost flick 'Crimson Peak,' but has the director already found another actress to replace her? Mia Wasikowska may be up to the task.
According to The Wrap, Stone has had no choice but to exit Guillermo del Toro's upcoming ghost movie due to scheduling conflicts. And while Mia Wasikowska recently turned down a role in Oliver Assayas' 'Sils Maria,' due to her own conflicts, it seems she might just have enough time to drop by for a part in 'Crimson Peak.'
While it would have been great to see Stone continue to expand her resume with a part from del Toro, Wasikowska is the obvious choice -- especially given her starring turn in this Park Chan-wook's 'Stoker' as an eerie teenager. If she's able, Wasikowska will join Benedict Cumberbatch and Jessica Chastain, who play siblings in the film, which also boasts 'Pacific Rim' star Charlie Hunnam. Wasikowska's character would be "a young author named Edith Cushing who discovers that her charming new husband is not who he appears to be."
Sounds a bit similar to her role in 'Stoker,' as a young teenager who discovers that her charming new uncle is not who he appears to be, yes?
