Does the U.S. Need the Penny? My 2 Cents Worth [Opinion]

There is debate currently going on in Washington that will determine the fate of the penny. It figures that the penny cost more than a penny to make.

The question is, do we need it at all? Everything could be rounded up they say. Most of the odd-ball amounts are a result of a sales tax anyway in most states.

Notice how they would round it up if you pay cash, more tax money that way.

I don't really care what they do, but if it saves you and me money it can't be all bad.
