I have one son that for the life of him he can't manage to sit still for more than 30 seconds unless he is sleeping. His focus is all but non-existent and it seems to be a growing issue with him.

I have often wondered if he has Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or if it is just because of his young age.

Apparently ADHD is on the rise for a number of reasons. One of those being knowledge to the parents about the issue.

I have been worried for the simple reason of wondering how he would get through a normal school day when a grows a little older.

I recently read THIS ARTICLE from the Washington Post.

They bring up and interesting point saying that part of the reason kids are restless in school is because of the amount of time they are forced to sit.

I can honestly say I get pretty restless after sitting for a long period of time but I don't have ADHD.

I am not even sure I could get my son to sit for 5 minutes let alone a full school day.

This is something that my wife and I will be looking more into before that day comes.

Have you dwelt with this here in Billings?
