Additional Information

Rimrock’s 5th Annual Pump-N-Run for Recovery will be held Saturday, August 3rd, at ZooMontana. Through this family-friendly event, Rimrock raises money to expand and improve the availability of recreation activities for patients in treatment for alcohol and substance abuse disorders. Rimrock is a nonprofit committed to providing support to those in recovery. By providing opportunities to explore recreational activities without the use of substances, Rimrock hopes to help clients create new hobbies and interests they can pursue in recovery. Last year, over 180 people participated in the Pump-N-Run, and Rimrock hopes to more than double the number of participants this year. The event is a way for the community to support those in recovery and also for people in recovery to celebrate their progress.

The cost is $25.00 for either the Pump-N-Run or the 5K Run/Walk Only. Entry fee includes a guaranteed Rimrock t-shirt for those registered by July 20th, a swag bag with goodies and coupons, and free entry to ZooMontana on race day. The Team Challenge is back again this year. Groups and organizations registered can also compete to take home the team challenge trophy. Separate Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 Age Group Finishers in both the Pump-N-Run and the 5K Run/Walk Only.
On August 3rd, late registration and check-in begin at 8:00am, weigh-in and bench press begin at 8:30am and the 5k Run/Walk begins at 9:30am.

There are twelve age/gender divisions. During Rimrock’s Pump-N-Run, participants have the option to take 30 seconds off their race time for each successful bench press they complete before the race. Participants must be 18 years or older to compete in the bench press portion of the Pump N Run. The bench press weight varies by age and gender. Women are required to lift 40-70 percent of their weight, while men must lift 60-100 percent. Yellowstone Fitness and 9Round 30 Min Kickbox Fitness will oversee the bench press competition and assist participants.

Rimrock hopes to raise money to expand and improve the availability of prevention, treatment, and recovery services for those in need.
