Fathers Day, It’s a Thing

Ah yes, Fathers Day is tomorrow.  It is suppose to be sunny and in the 70's.  I got a call on Friday from my oldest daughter wanting to know what the plan was for Fathers Day.  Now, she is married and 23, so I said "don't know, because I'm the father!)  I don't know if there has to be "a thing" on Fathers Day.  With all my kids getting older, I've come to the realization that just a phone call with conversation would be great.  But after I talked to her on the phone I thought;  why not have "a thing".  I've been having "a thing" for all my kids for 23 years now.  Don't get me wrong, every "thing" was pure joy and out of love.  Tomorrow, Fathers Day, we are going to have "a thing".  Maybe a Bar-b-cue.  Laughter, conversation and ever present "remember when..) conversations.
