Foo Fighters Cancel Upcoming Montana Show this August
It has been on every rock music fan's mind since Friday. The passing of Taylor Hawkins has been difficult to deal with. The Rock Hall of Fame drummer was truly one of the greatest drummers of all time. Gone way too soon.
Clearly, fans are having a tough time coming to terms with the passing of Taylor Hawkins. But we can not imagine how the band is feeling at this time. The thought of losing a bandmate, not to mention a family member, is unfathomable.
The Foo Fighters have recently made the announcement that they are canceling ALL of their scheduled shows for the foreseeable future.
It is with great sadness that Foo Fighters confirm the cancellation of all upcoming tour dates in light of the staggering loss of our brother Taylor Hawkins. We're sorry for and share in the disappointment that we won't be seeing one another as planned. Instead, let's take this time to grieve, to heal, to pull our loved ones close, and to appreciate all the music and memories we've made together.
No official announcement has been made by the Peak to Sky promoters. It is safe to say that the band's statement about canceled performances includes the upcoming Peak to Sky performance in Big Sky, MT. The intimate and SOLD OUT Foo Fighters experience was scheduled for August 10th, 2022. A venue with a capacity of nearly 5,000 people, is small compared to the larger venues the Foo have consistently filled during their most recent tours.
No word from the Big Sky Events Arena on ticket refunds or if the date is officially canceled. But, we can assume they will be offering refunds in the near future. We will keep posted when we hear more details.
