This last storm brought us about 7 inches of snow, bringing the total to 83.8 inches for the season.  This is the first season where the city put aside money for snow removal on residential streets.  According to public works deputy director Vern Heisler, after this last storm, that job for the residential streets has been turned over to Mother Nature.  Even on Monday, it was interesting how quick the main streets were already clearing up from the sun.  The fund the Billings City Council set aside for plowing has already been depleted.  So, it makes sense to just let the sun do it's thing.  Thursday and Friday we are suppose to have high's in the mid 40's.  Oh, and just a reminder, this Sunday we move our clocks ahead 1 hour.
