A Short Break for Sturgis, Then Billings’ Bike Night Returns
It was sometime last week that I started living vicariously through my friends on social media. It seems like everyone I know has made it to Sturgis, SD, for the Rally. Nearly half a million visitors attended the event in 2024, and thousands more visit the Black Hills before or after the official Rally dates.
Motorcycle enthusiasts in the Billings area are lucky to live relatively close to Sturgis. It's a 5-hour ride, if you don't take a lot of breaks, making it easy for Montanans in South Central Montana to take in the festivities. Most stay for the week, but I know plenty of people who run to Sturgis for just a couple of days and head back.

Due to the Rally, we always skip this week for our Wednesday Night Bike Nights, but don't worry... the good times will return on Wednesday, August 13 at the High Horse Saloon, starting at 5 PM.

After that, the Bike Night season has just a few dates remaining:
- August 20 – Fenway's (formerly Manny’s)
- August 27 – Paula's Longbranch in Ballentine
- September 3 – The Reno Club
How does summer fly by so quickly?
Come join the fun.
Each week, we bring a stack of prizes, including food and drink gift cards, event tickets, $50 Beartooth Harley gift cards, and more. The crew at Viking Bags has hooked us up with a sweet motorcycle backpack that one lucky rider will win on August 13th at the High Horse Saloon & Eatery!
It's their 32L backrest bag, which provides ample room for necessities. There are plenty of easy-to-access pockets for stashing tools, camping supplies, an air pump, gloves, clothing, and personal items. It also has backpack straps, making this bag easy to sling over your shoulders after you've reached your destination.
See the full details for the Viking Trident Large Motorcycle Backpack HERE, and we'll see you at the next Bike Night.
