The 2nd annual Plant-a-palooza hits Billings June 14-15

If you're into houseplants (or know someone who is), clear your calendar for June 14 and 15Plant-a-palooza is back for its second year at Brass Velvet Trading Co. in Billings.

This two-day, plant-filled party is expected to draw hundreds of plant lovers from around the region for a weekend of swapping, selling, and sharing all things leafy and green. Last year, nearly 1,500 people attended, and this year is expected to be bigger and better than ever.

Rare houseplants? Yeah, they’re a thing.

Greenhouse Magazine reports that rare and exotic plant collecting has become a booming hobby, a trend that exploded during the pandemic. Some folks now pay hundreds—or thousands—for certain rare varieties.

Local rare plant collector Monet Bjerken, owner of Monet’s Garden, will be one of the many vendors at Plant-a-palooza. Her story is fascinating and worth a read (link below).

37 vendors, plant-themed tattoos, and plant-y fun activities.

37 vendors are confirmed this year, including Salt Lake City's Pixel Plant Co., plus plenty of regional and local shops. You’ll also enjoy three food vendors, two drink vendors,  two tattoo artists on-site with plant-themed tattoos, several DIY stations, a swap and free table, a kids activity area, and all kinds of cool displays and activities throughout the weekend.
