This Cool Kitty is Ready to be Adopted at YVAS in Billings
It was a refreshing change of pace this week for our Wet Nose Wednesday segment with Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter; we got to meet an awesome adoptable kitty! Typically, the shelter brings a dog to our studios to spotlight, so having a cat on the show was a nice switch.

Meet 'Mysterious Stranger', a four-year-old Brown Tabby.
He doesn't appear brown at first glance, as this cool tabby has the classic grey and black tiger stripes, but if you look closely around his nose, you'll see the brown coloring in his fur. He's very handsome, with white "socks" on all four feet, and he weighs around 12.5 pounds.
Mysterious Stranger arrived at YVAS as a stray, said Human Outreach Coordinator Derek Wulf. The cat doesn't love wearing his harness. We think he probably doesn't like it because it's Christmas-themed, while we're clearly in the middle of summer, haha.

He's been neutered, chipped, inspected by a veterinarian, and is ready for his forever home.
The handsome kitty is very friendly.
He even liked having his belly rubbed while he was rolling around on our studio floor (unlike my cat, who pretends to be inviting a belly rub, then promptly tries to bite or scratch me when I attempt to do so). However, the Mysterious Stranger doesn't get along well with other cats. It would be best for him to be in a single-cat household.
Looking for a kitten instead?
Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter currently has a ton of adoptable kittens. Wulf said they've dubbed one of their cat rooms as "Kittenpalooza", as it's filled with nothing but cuddly little kittens. Stop in and take a look, or browse all of the pets currently available for adoption at YVAS here.
Thank you, Shipton's Big R, for supporting animal adoption in the Billings area.
