One of the most actively haunted locations in Butte's rich and spooky history, if not the most haunted, is the famous Dumas Brothel.  Ask anyone.  The Dumas has gained international notoriety not because it operated openly up until 1982, but because of the strange and unexplained events that have happened within her walls since she "officially" closed her doors.  Weird things.  Disembodied voices have been heard in the Dumas.  Apparitions have been seen time and time again.  Unseen hands have been felt.  Truly weird things.

"Like I tell everybody, I can't ever promise you're going to see something, but if you're going to see it, you're going to see it here," said David Prince who along with his wife, Charlee, have been the owners of the historic building for the past several years.  I had to opportunity to chat with the two on Saturday as they were preparing to close the doors for a group of paranormal investigators to do their work.  "As you may have heard, this place is haunted," Charlee added with a laugh.

Does the idea of exploring a building that many say is indeed haunted intrigue you?  Good news, then.  The Princes will be offering tours of this incredible building this Summer on alternating Saturdays between Memorial Day Weekend and Labor Day Weekend.  Tours will be given several times throughout the day.  For details on tours and other investigations you could be a part of, check out the Dumas Brothel Museum's website.
