University of Montana's Monte Wins Back-to-Back Awards

UPDATE 7/19/24/ 7:30am- Congratulations to the University of Montana's mascot Monte for wining the latest edition of the Big Sky Conference's Mascot Challenge. Monte defeated the University of Idaho's "Joe Vandal". This makes it a back-to-back win for Monte, who took home the crown last year.

The University of Montana mascot, Monte, has had an exciting summer already. Let's help make it an historic one too. The Big Sky Conference is currently holding their "Mascot Challenge" and it's your chance to vote for Monte for another victory.

Monte Is Hall of Fame Bound

Monte will officially be inducted into the Mascot Hall of Fame this August. He will be inducted along with mascots from the Houston Astros "Orbit", the San Francisco Giants "Lou Seal" and the Jacksonville Jaguars "Jackson De Ville". Monte is the only mascot from a college or university that is being inducted into the hall of fame this year.

Monte Is In the Finals

The Big Sky Conference Mascot Challenge has been going on for the past few weeks and Monte has made it to the finals, so this is when he needs your vote. Monte is the number one seed in the challenge, so far he has defeated Idaho State's "Benny the Bengal" and Northern Arizona's "Louie the Lumberjack". His next opponent is the University of Idaho's "Joe Vandal".

The University of Montana Grizzlies are gearing up for another exciting football season and have announced the kick off times and the theme games for the season. The first game of the season is scheduled for Saturday, August 31st against Missouri State and will be a night game with a 7pm kick off time.
