If you’re someone who swings by TOPZ in the Heights for your sandwich fix, here’s a heads-up: the shop is officially closing on December 10.

Closing the Heights location is a change the team didn’t make lightly, but after a lot of thought about where they’re headed long term, they realized this was the right move.

Why the Building’s Buyer Made the Decision Easier

TopZ says they found a fantastic buyer for the building. You’ll probably be happy to hear it’s Classy & Sassy, another local Billings brand run by a great family. Knowing the space was going to people who care about the community made the decision feel right for both the neighborhood and the future of TopZ.

Strengthening Their Core Locations

Over the past year, TopZ has been looking closely at what direction they want to grow. Instead of stretching themselves too thin, they’re going to focus on strengthening their two current stores at 4007 Avenue B and 2206 Grant Road. And don’t worry, delivery and catering are still available citywide, so TopZ isn’t going far.

A Heartfelt Thank You to the Heights

If you’ve supported TopZ in the Heights, they want you to know how much it meant. They’re genuinely grateful for the four years you showed up, shared meals, and helped make that location feel like part of the community. Your loyalty didn’t go unnoticed.

A Homegrown Brand Built on Community

In case you didn’t know, TopZ started right here in Billings. Tucker Veltkamp launched it in late 2015 after dealing with the struggles of a failing franchise. He wanted something local, fresh, and rooted in community. That dream turned into the sandwich shop many stop at today, built on quality ingredients like hand-sliced meats and a whole lot of hometown pride.

TopZ Is Still Here for Your Sandwich Fix

So yes, the Heights location is closing, but TOPZ isn’t going anywhere. They’re tightening their focus, doubling down on what works, and keeping the sandwiches coming. You’ll still be able to order, cater, and visit their other locations whenever you need your TOPZ fix.
