I've never been a big fan of things haunted.

Growing up and even as an adult the idea of being scared doesn't seem like a fun time to me.  Whether it's going to a "Haunted House" during Halloween, or watching a scary movie, I just can't understand why people would pay money to be frightened.

However, for those of you who are into that sort of thing, Montana is home to several supposed haunted places, including a Hotel that many say is one of the most haunted buildings in America.

Located in Butte, this historic hotel has a history dating back to the late 1800s and was part of the notorious "Red Light" district for several decades.  Butte was famous for its working girls, and the Dumas Hotel was one of the most popular brothels in the region. In fact, the hotel is not only still standing, but it's on the National Register of Historic Places.

According to many, not only is the old hotel the most haunted in Montana, but it's one of the most haunted in the country. In fact, according to one of the leaders of the Bozeman Paranormal Society after her experience at the Dumas Hotel, she'll never step foot back in the building.

So what makes the Dumas Hotel so scary? According to reports, there are several different reasons. The main one was that many of the 'working girls' were living in terrible conditions with a lack of proper health care or birth control, well, you can imagine that several of those outcomes ended up with much less than ideal conditions.

There have been reports of all kinds of paranormal activity from a change in temperature to actually feeling the presence of a supernatural being touching individuals.
