This Fascinating Idea Could Really Help Montana Students
Could this fascinating idea be a massive help to rural Montana students? It could be a game-changer.
Montana parents want the best for their children. One thing that parents will always want is a fantastic education for their children. If you live in one of Montana's large cities, you might have a few schools to choose from, but rural areas might not have those options.
One thing that can make things difficult is access to the internet. Today's kids depend on having internet access to look up help, study, and finish school work. It's a crucial need for students.
If you live in rural Montana, you might have limited or no access to the internet. Depending on where you live, you might have one or two internet companies at your service, and sometimes it's still spotty.
So what can you do? Not much, but help might be on the way.
USA Today reports that the Federal Communications Commission announced funding to allow school districts to equip school buses with WiFi. This idea could help students study or finish homework while they are on their way home and help rural students have access to the internet.
Why would the FCC implement this idea? Internet access has become a hot topic among politicians, and the FCC has seen this program work in a few rural states.
If you don't know, many of Montana's students ride the bus to and from school for long durations, and being able to finish homework while commuting is an asset.
This idea has support from several education and teacher groups, which is a good sign for students.
There is no word yet on when or if this plan will happen in Montana, but the state would be a fool not to consider it.
