NBC Montana reports that Montana has secured over $628 million in funding to build reliable high-speed internet across the state. This money will help fund high-speed internet in Montana's urban and rural areas. Montana's rural areas have been sorely lacking internet for years.

Even here in some spots of Bozeman, you can only choose from one or two providers for internet services. Some folks have to pay an absorbent amount for high-speed internet and Montanans have been struggling to pay these ridiculous fees.

We know this will be a process to build out fiber and high-speed internet lines throughout Montana but this is a good sign for the future. Many rural areas in Montana could benefit from high-speed internet for business or pleasure.

There is a company called Yellowstone Fiber who are slowly building out fiber lines in Bozeman but this news will help the whole state move closer to having decent internet at an affordable price.
