Even though home prices are cooling off, they are still inflated and overpriced. If you want to know how bad it's gotten in Montana, we have some staggering statistics that will blow your mind.

Montana has seen a 127% increase in home prices over the past decade, the 8th largest rise in America. The United States Housing & Urban Development shows statistics that show that COVID-19 was a significant factor in turning Montana house prices into astronomical numbers.

Even though these numbers are for the whole state of Montana, if you dive deeper into cities that receive huge population booms, like Bozeman, the numbers are even worse than you can imagine.

Bozeman's average housing price seven to eight years ago was around $275,000, but now it's hovering around $800,000. If that number doesn't want to make you throw up, I don't know what will.

Everyone hopes that the home pricing problem in Montana will soon solve itself, but we might have to face reality and realize that might never happen in certain areas.

Locals and young adults would love to become a homeowner one day, but depending on where you live in Montana, it might not happen.
