According to Mediafeed, the one dive bar you must check out in Montana is The Rhino in Missoula. The Rhino has 50 beers on tap and a huge whiskey list.
Here lies the problem with that pick. I've been to The Rhino, and it's not a dive bar. It's a bar people love, but no one thinks it's a dive bar. Even in Missoula, other bars like Missoula Club or Monk's Bar feel more like a dive bar.
We would've gone with one of Montana's small-town dive bars, like the Pony Bar in Pony or Bunkhouse Bar in Tostos, which was running for best dive bar in America.
That's the beauty of Montana and dive bars. There are too many to choose from, and everyone is different. That's what makes them perfect.
