Oh, Stop Panicking.

Don't worry, Montana Talks will broadcast its regular show on Thursday, September 26th.  Soon after that, the AM 970 will be turned off for about four hours.

This is to accommodate a technician conducting an inspection of the AM transmitter tower.  During this visit, they will climb to the top and also restore a couple beacon lights that are out.  For their safety around electrical equipment, the transmitter will be turned off.

The FM transmitter at 103.3 will still be operational though its range is limited, so folks in the area can still catch Dan Bongino, Sean Hannity and Mark Levin.

When the work on the transmitter is completed, the AM signal will broadcast again.

No, There Is No Conspiracy

The FCC is not choking off nor cancelling our signal.

Regulators have not pulled our license.

Government spies are not installing surveillance equipment (as far as I know...)

The Chinese have not bought the station.

No, it's not for broadcasting subliminal mind control.  Put the tin foil of your hat back over the fruit salad in the fridge.

No, a political party is not shutting down the signal to limit our exposure to the opposition's radio ads...though that is a good idea...

It's just maintenance and an inspection, that's all.

Please don't call the station.

And if your friends and family call you fretting about it, please ask them to not call the station and just calmly explain the situation, or just direct them to this article.

Thank You.  The New Empire appreciates your cooperation.  Enjoy the music.
