A Great Spot for a Weekend Getaway to Miles City, Montana
This would make a great spot for a weekend getaway to Miles City.
I shouldn't even be telling you guys about this place...at least not before I book my rooms for the Miles City Buckin Horse next year anyway.
I was in Miles City for some events on Thursday and Friday. We had a great event at Tubbs and the Montana Bar on Thursday night, and then I really enjoyed chatting with folks over breakfast at The Main Street Grind followed by lunch (get the steak!) at the Black Iron Grill.
There's some good hotels in Miles City, but for this trip I thought- why not check out one of my friend Devin Morrison's new suites that he rents out? Devin has the Eaglescape Suites and Event Center in Miles City. The location was originally built as the local YMCA in 1910 and later converted to an Eagles lodge. "This Downtown landmark has been an essential part of this cowboy community for over 100 years!"
My last trip to Miles City, I got to attend an event inside the events center in the same location, so I figured I better check out the suites too. I'm glad I did, because the room I rented was very cool. Modern, classy amenities with a classic Western feel and art. Plus, it was only a half block walk from historic Main Street Miles City- Cowtown, USA.
What's next for Eaglescape?
Devin Morrison: "We are working on adding a speakeasy style bar and man cave across from the rooms that will be ideal for parties and small events such as birthdays or bachelor/Bachelorette parties. Then downstairs we will have 2 larger accommodations for bigger groups. 1 larger 900sqft apartment on one side for big families, and on the other side will be a mixed use space that will function as a community meeting room during the day and a large group accommodation at night that could sleep a few large families or a sports team. This space has a heavy rustic western theme and an attached commercial kitchen for catered meals. With the bounce houses and movie screen upstairs and bar/ mancave on the first floor, I'd love to make it a destination for family reunions and large group gatherings, where people can rent a whole floor or whole building and just have a blast."
By the way- while we were hanging out in front of Tubbs for our event, I also got to meet the nicest, young Canadian couple from Saskatchewan that was honeymooning in Miles City and elsewhere across Montana.
