Joe Satriani has revealed further details of the 2016 G4 Experience, the latest edition of his annual event offering "four days and nights of pure guitar pleasure" for students seeking to take their playing to a new level.

As previously reported, this year's G4 Experience is scheduled for Aug. 8-12 at the Glen Cove Mansion in Glen Cove, N.Y., a move away from the event's previous location in California that serves as a homecoming for the Long Island-bred Satriani.

"Going home just makes this year even more special," said Satriani in a press release. "It adds a deeper meaning for myself and all of the instructors involved. That’s one of the big reasons that I’m so excited for you to join us near my old stomping grounds. Overall though, 2016 sees the G4 Experience once again evolve, preserving everything attendees loved about previous years, while adding a new dimension. I hope to see you there!"

Satriani delves into the details of the 2016 G4 Experience in a newly posted video, which finds him outlining his reasons for hosting the event as well as all the different opportunities attendees can expect in return for their investment. Continuing to offer what Satriani describes as "a huge leap forward from the typical guitar clinic experience," this year’s guest instructors include Eric Johnson, Frank Zappa vet Mike Keneally and Testament's Alex Skolnick, as well as a guest appearance from Steve Vai.

G4 Experience accommodations start at $1,899 for a shared room, with a premium package (including a new guitar strung by Satriani's personal tech) available for those with more room in their budget. Visit the event's official website for further details and ticketing information.
