Another documentary about the making of John Lennon's 1971 record Imagine will be making its way to home video. John & Yoko: Above Us Only Sky will be released Sept. 13 on Blu-ray, DVD and digital.

The Michael Epstein-directed movie "shares the untold story of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s unique relationship, and the artistic journey that culminated" in both Imagine and Ono's Fly, according to a news release. Originally aired on A&E, Above Us Only Sky also "explores how the art, activism, politics and music of the pair lead to the creative and personal collaboration that defined an era."

The story is told through previously unseen and unheard footage, including the first demo of "Imagine," and new interviews with Ono, Julian Lennon, Alan White, Jim Keltner, Klaus Voorman and other colleagues of the couple. You can watch the trailer below and preorder it here.

“Rock/pop songs appeal, they talk to people. And there's nothing like that," Ono said. "Imagine was a result of that. Both of us knew that we were talking in a way that people understand. The fact that 'Imagine' as a song was written and put out in the world was magical. And I hope you will smell the magic of it. I feel in the big picture the fact that John and I met – was to do this song.”

Last year, a restored and remixed version of Lennon's and Ono's account of the Imagine sessions hit movie theaters around the world. Ono also published Imagine John Yoko, a 320-page book about that time in their life.
