Parents Should Have the Right to Choose Which School They Send Their Children [Opinion]
About $12,500 follows every child to the school they attend. A classroom of 20 is getting a quarter of a million dollars. What is sad is you don't even get to choose where you send your kids.
That's a structure put in place for the benefit of the unions. That way there will be guaranteed redundancy of positions in each school. More workers, more administrators. which translates into more union dollars.
People should have the right to send their kids to the school of their choice and have those dollars follow them.
Schools would be forced to be more competitive with their academic standards if they wanted the kids. The mediocre employees would be weeded out thus improving our curriculum.
After all, shouldn't we say yes for the kids?
