I had my tax appointment yesterday. And though I'm fairly aware of what I pay in taxes every year, this day always makes me mad. I'm not going to give you the dollar amount because that's nobody else's business. But, I'll tell you that it's more than my fair share.

If taxes weren't automatically deducted from your paycheck and you had to write a check for each tax just like you do for every bill that you pay, people would be more upset about the amount that they pay.

My money is paying for education, Social Security, defense, Medicare, Medicaid, interest on the national debt and about a thousand other things. Truth be told, I don't know the exact amount that I pay in taxes each year.

I don't keep track of how many gallons of gas (which contains both state and federal tax on every gallon), I don't know how much tax I pay on my cell phone bill each month. I just know that it's in there.

And now I hear that more things are going to be put on upcoming ballots, asking for even MORE of my money.

Not just no, but HELL NO!  I'm tired of footing the bill. Every single entity that gets tax dollars needs to make cuts. Reservations, education, food stamps, all of it. Every last program, department, and person who get my tax dollars need to live with what they already get.

We've got all these people in America screaming for equity. Equity. We all deserve to be equal.Let's start with taxes. Let's all pay the same exact percentage. Exempt food and medicine, and you only pay a tax on when you buy something that is non essential. Enough already.
