Today's lost band is a band formed in 1967 in Wales. In the beginning they were known as Hills Contemporary Grass. Tony Bourge on vocal and guitar Burke Shelley vocals and bass with Ray Phillips on drums. Not keeping that name long they changed there name to Budgie after a couple of gigs. Burke Shelly said that the band's name came from the fact that he loved noisy heavy rock and calling themselves after something opposed to that. Give them a listen.
