Believe it or not, Slash hasn’t performed everywhere. In fact, the guitarist has one gig that’s eluded him for years that he still wants to play. So please, can’t you tell him how to get… how to get to Sesame Street?

In a year where he’s already been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and received induction into the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Slash revealed that a ‘Sesame Street’ appearance is the one thing that’s escaped him.

Speaking with Australia’s Rip It Up magazine, the guitar great explained, “‘Sesame Street’ have never approached me, though I would do it and I love kids. There’s no way I’d ever turn ‘Sesame Street’ down, but I don’t know if parents would think I’m the best public influence on little kids.”

While he waits for the phone call from Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, and Elmo, Slash will keep company with his band — Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. Their support of the ‘Apocalyptic Love’ album will continue in North America through early October. The next leg of shows kicks off Sept. 4 in San Diego.
