As we prepare to gorge ourselves on turkey and stuffing Thursday, here's a few songs to set the mood during your family feast.

1.  Led Zeppelin - "Thank You".  This holiday is all about giving thanks and what better way to express your gratitude than with the classic jam from Led Zeppelin II.  As an added bonus, you can impress your guests by pointing out that "Thank You" was the first song that Robert Plant wrote all of the lyrics for.

2.  ZZ Top - "I Thank You".  This song was originally recorded by the legendary R+B duo Sam and Dave in 1968.  11 years later, ZZ put a southern fried spin on the soul standard.  This song has also been covered by Bonnie Raitt and Bon Jovi.  Bad Company singer Paul Rodgers has a new version due out in February on his upcoming solo album "The Royal Sessions".

3.  Iron Maiden - "Run to the Hills".  To commemorate the plight of the Wampanoag tribe, who taught the Pilgrims how to grow corn and later joined them for a three day feast they called "Thanksgiving", up the irons with Maiden's tribute to the conflict between Native Americans and early European settlers.

4.  Twisted Sister - "Stay Hungry".  In order to properly celebrate Thanksgiving, you're gonna need to devour at least 3 plates.  After hitting the food wall, which usually occurs halfway through your second plate, this Twisted Sister anthem should help motivate you to push your body to its limits.

5.  Adam Sandler - "The Thanksgiving Song".  the lyrics to this 1992 holiday standard sum it up perfectly.  Love to eat turkey, 'cause it's good.  Love to east turkey, like a good boy should.  'Cause it's turkey to eat, so good.  Turkey for me, turkey for you.

Happy Thanksgiving from the station with the most drumsticks in town.
