One of the main questions regarding 'Star Wars: Episode 7' is, "Will J.J. Abrams be able to follow in George Lucas' footsteps?" Many, including 'Star Trek Into Darkness' star Simon Pegg, believes yes, as he's already reinvigorated the 'Star Trek' universe. But what exactly will he bring to the next chapter? As Pegg said, "All the things that we loved about the first three."

Pegg was making the press rounds for his latest adventure with J.J., 'Star Trek Into Darkness,' which hits theaters on May 17, when he landed at Total Film. The folks there questioned him on the upcoming 'Star Wars: Episode 7' and what the director will bring to the new films. In what Pegg later announced on Twitter was mere speculation, the actor replied:

What will he bring to the franchise? Everything that was missing from the last three. That’s what he did to 'Star Trek,' really – invigorate it with a little bit of 'Star Wars' magic. He switched it from science-fiction to science-fantasy.

And I think if anyone can pull ['Star Wars'] out of the mire, it’s J.J. He’ll bring the fun back. Lucas seemed to misread what made the first ones great, and concentrate on things that people didn’t really care about, or wilfully ignore the things that people cared about. Whereas J.J. will embrace them all.

We’re going to see the Millennium Falcon again. We’re going to see those characters again. All the things that we loved about the first three, we will see again.

So on top of going into seemingly specific details about what will blend into 'Star Wars: Episode 7,' including the very specific mention of the Millennium Falcon (though we can only go by his word, which was that it's all mere speculation), he just threw some serious shade at the father of 'Star Wars,' Lucas himself.

What do you think? Does he have a point? Will J.J. Abrams bring something to the table that George Lucas didn't? Do you agree with his speculations on 'Star Wars: Episode 7'? Sound off in the comments.
