Legendary guitarist Jeff Beck has been ordered by doctors to cancel the second leg of his upcoming European tour, which was due to begin tomorrow in Austria.
Jeff Beck and Brian Wilson's musical partnership seems to have been much more exciting in theory than it was in reality -- at least according to Beck, anyway.
For much of Jeff Beck's career, recording has often appeared to take a lower priority than, say, working on vintage cars. However, he admits that his upcoming record -- his first since 2010's 'Emotion & Commotion' -- is "a very important album for me."
Rod Stewart recently claimed that he'd be up for a tour with his old partner Jeff Beck, but he noted that Beck isn't speaking to him. According to Beck, however, it's really the other way around.
Rod Stewart toured with Stevie Nicks last year, he'll hit the road with Steve Winwood later this fall and he's daydreaming about a series of dates with Elton John. But don't hold your breath for any shows with Stewart's old partner Jeff Beck.
Jeff Beck will team up with Brian Wilson for an 18-date tour this fall. The run begins on Sept. 27 in Florida before working up the East Coast and then zigzagging across the country for a final date on Oct. 27 in Akron. Wilson's fellow Beach Boys Al Jardine and David Marks will also join him onstage.
