Paul McCartney stunned the studio audience — and by the looks of it, possibly actor Alec Baldwin — by making a surprise walk-on appearance during a live episode of NBC’s ’30 Rock.’
The Rolling Stones‘ official YouTube page has unlocked four new videos from a 1981 show the band filmed for Pay-per-view at the Hampton Coliseum in Virginia. It’s the same show from which they recently released their second archival downloadable live album, a look a the rock band in their prime, and a highlight reel of at least one of the more talked about moments in Stones’ history.
Although the “road trips” might be coming to an end, it turns out that the Grateful Dead will keep the highway open with a new series of live releases curated by Dead archivist David Lemieux.
Steppenwolf Live was one of five live albums released by Steppenwolf. Released in 1970, the album reached #7 on the rock charts in the United States, and included popular songs like "Magic Carpet Ride" and "Born To Be Wild."
Wild cheers erupted from tens of thousands of demonstrators in Cairo's Tahrir Square after word spread that Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has resigned. Demonstrators chanted "Egypt is free!" upon hearing the news.
