I'm saying it because I try to be a good parent and help my child with her homework, which gives me just the slightest glimpse into her teacher's experience...

If the sight of all those school supplies filling the aisles of Billings retail stores has you in a panic, it's understandable. Parents with three children in elementary, middle and high school can expect to pay as much as $3,000 for school supplies and extracurricular activities for the 2015-2016 school year, according to the Huntington Bank Backpack Index released Wednesday.

Suddenly band class in Los Angeles just got a whole lot cooler. Eddie Van Halen has donated 75 guitars from his personal collection to music programs in the L.A. area. The rocker teamed up with the Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation to provide instruments to schools without enough for students to play.
