Lost in all the hoopla over the 50th anniversary of the assassination of John F. Kennedy this past Friday.  This weekend also marks another tragic anniversary.  It has now been 22 years since Freddie Mercury passed away.

The legendary Queen singer succumbed to AIDS on November 24, 1991.  Of course, his music will live on forever.  In fact, his fellow band mate Brian May recently announced plans to release a long lost duet from the 80's featuring Mercury and Michael Jackson.  There is also a Freddie Mercury movie in the works.  The on-again, off-again film was derailed earlier this year when actor Sasha Baron Cohen walked away from the project due to creative differences.  Cohen will, reportedly, be replaced by Ben Whishaw, who played the role of Q in the most recent installment of the James Bond franchise Skyfall.
