If you weren't watching Sunday's Rams-49ers game, be thankful you missed this play.  With eight minutes left in the 3rd quarter, San Francisco Tight End Vernon Davis caught a pass and took off down the sideline.  St. Louis Safety T.J. McDonald then made a touchdown saving tackle, grabbing hold of Davis' manhood, holding on for dear life and eventually dragging him to the ground.

After being victimized by the dreaded "junk tackle", Davis writhed in pain before being escorted off the field.  Which begs several questions:  1.  If dragging a player down by the neck is considered a "horse collar", shouldn't grabbing a player's twig and berries be a penalty?  2.  If and when the "junk tackle" is declared illegal, what will the referee's hand signal look like?  and will it require both hands?  3.  Should T.J. McDonald be credited for a "sack" on the play?
