The Wall That Heals

Now through 3pm Sunday you have a unique opportunity to view a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. It is located at Will James Middle School 1200 30th St West.  It is called The Wall That Heals and is a half scale replica.  It's about 250 long and constructed of powder-coated aluminum.  It was originally unveiled on Veterans Day 1996.  Since it's dedication, The Wall That Heals  has visited more than 400 cities and towns throughout the United States.  The exterior sides of the trailer that carry the wall open up and become a mobile Education Center.  Information cases display photos of service members, along with letters and memorabilia left at The Wall in Washington D.C.  It also has a chronological overview of the conflict in Vietnam.
