Thinking of Our Billings Veterans
As you well know, Wednesday is Veterans Day and saying thank you to our men and women in uniform is one of the most important things we as Americans can do.
Without them, we would literally have nothing. I wouldn't have the freedom to even write this blog.
I can tell you there are so many things each of us takes for granted. The freedoms we share are virtually unheard of in much of the world. We have the freedom to choose our religion, walk down the street without persecution, live wherever we like, drive across the country without question and so much more.
Without our military, none of this would be possible.
I would almost bet that there isn't one of us that either isn't a veteran, related to one or at least knows one. No matter who you are, a veteran has touched or changed your life in some form. Even if it's being able to say what you want whenever and wherever you want. They have given us all that choice and I am thankful for that.
Please join me in telling our veterans and their families that we appreciate them. There are a number of them right here in the Billings area that will not be able to spend time with their loved ones this holiday season. We would like to make that time apart a little easier for those who serve our country.
Please make a donation to Townsquare Cares. Every penny counts and will go the families of those serving right here in our area. Townsquare Cares is a non-profit organization and you can be assured that whatever donation you make will go to these men and women that truly deserve some relief.
Please donate what you can and if nothing else, please tell a soldier thank you.
