First ‘True Blood’ Final Season Footage Arrives in HBO’s Spring 2014 Trailer
Sure, 'Game of Thrones' season 4 got all the attention Sunday night, at least enough for HBO to show off its summer premiere, 'The Leftovers,' with a first trailer, but what about the seventh and final season of HBO's fangbanging hit 'True Blood'? See the Stackhouse future in our first real look at 'True Blood' season 7, buried in HBO's latest spring 2014 trailer!
Although it's a bit hard to spot (the lengthiest shot comes at around the 38-second mark), the first footage of 'True Blood' season 7 offers up a few tantalizing details of our final year in Bon Temps. Not only do we see that something daylit has Sookie, Alcide (yep, short hair!), Andy, Jason and (Mayor) Sam's attention, but other shots appear to show the aftermath of the Hep-V vampires attacking last year's season finale party, while Pam looks to continue the search for her maker, Eric.
Elsewhere, we know of ‘True Blood’ season 7 that Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) will indeed return, despite a seemingly fiery end teased in the season 6 finale. Anna Camp’s Sarah Newlin will return, joining ’90210′ alum Riley Smith and Nathan Parson, replacing Luke Grimes. Storytelling will shrink to see more direct human-vampire relationships in light of the Hepatitis V threat, while more details and series regular ascensions have been outlined in our guide to ‘True Blood”s final season.
It's certainly a bit more substantive than the previous final season teaser, but check out our first look at 'True Blood' season 7 above, and tell us what other secrets you spot before the June 22 premiere!
