WinCo to Open in March

WinCo is to open in March. According to a press release they will employ 160 people in the Billings area. The article said that they had torn down the K-Mart building that had been there for 40 years, to build this new building. As I was reading the article I realized, that is my old neighborhood. I moved to Casa Village with my mom and siblings in 1972. We lived at the back end of the trailer court and I could see K-Mart from our front door. No low-income housing, no Rimrock Mall, just fields.  Maybe my memory or math is wrong, but either way, it is a great investment in Billings employment. I was sorry to see K-Mart go. That is where I bought my first ring for $2 for my girlfriend in the sixth grade. The relationship went nowhere.
