I for one was excited at the prospect of Bob Dylan playing Billings again. It was two Summers ago that Bob and John Mellancamp performed at Dehler Park during their “Baseball Stadium Tour”. Bob Dylan was slated to perform at MetraPark right in the middle of Montana Fair, on August 15. The concert was cancelled late last week.

Montana’s largest wild fire is now up to about 19,000 acres with hundreds of evacuees including animals in the area. I was watching KULR-8 last night and as of 10:30 p.m. on June 27 the Dahl fire is 0% contained!
Jami Bond first reported the grass fire (Dahl Fire) in Roundup late yesterday, June 26. By the time of this posting it has grown to over 10,000 acres! Animal evacuations took place last night as well as residents leaving their homes.
It seems like forever since the the Special Olympics Montana State Summer Games have been in Billings. The event was here in 2000. Now the Special Olympics are back in the Magic City through 2014. The games have been in Bozeman the last 3 years.

Billings Super Spring Garage Sale is coming to the Shrine Auditorium on May 12! Since January, the players with The Billings Bullets Semi-Pro Football team have been practicing and getting geared up for their first game against the Gallatin Valley Snow Devils this Saturday, April 7 at 3:00 p.m.. The 4 home games of the 2012 season will be played at Daylis-Wendy’s field on the Billings Senior High campus.
The non-profit Billings Roller Derby Dames have been nursing injuries and getting conditioned for the 2012 season, and the season is about to begin! But first, a couple of fun fundraisers this weekend.
