Drunken Florida Man Has Best Mug Shot Ever

Volusia County Sheriff

Since no one takes a pretty mug shot, why not make it a memorable one? That seems to have been the line of thought for a man from Florida (of course) who channeled Gene Simmons as officers held his head in place to take his booking photo.

Kelsey Smith, who looks a lot older than his 29 years, was pulled over on suspicion of DUI at an intersection. Deputies said he was slurring and his eyes were glassy and bloodshot, but when he was ordered out of the car, he refused to budge (something we find is always a bad move).

After a deputy used a stun gun as a form of not-so-gentle persuasion, Smith smashed his own face and spit blood at the cops. He was eventually put into a “spit hood” — which isn’t nearly as sexy as it might sound — and transported to a Volusia County Sheriff’s station. There, he continued to throw a hissy-fit and officers had to hold his head still for his glamour shot.
