A terrorist who decided to viciously maim and kill as many Americans as he could now seeks mercy from the justice system of the country he hates. The attorney for Boston Marathon Bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev said "he did it", but then asked that jurors keep an open mind since he was under the influence of his older brother.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Weinreb said, "The defendant's goal that day was to maim and kill as many victims as possible. He believed that he was a soldier in a holy war against Americans. He believed he had taken a step toward reaching paradise. That was his motive for committing these crimes."

Considering that 18 of the 30 charges that Tsarnev faces carry a potential death sentence, I doubt he will get the mercy he is looking for; especially in Boston.
