A big bowl of sugary cereal and Saturday morning cartoons go together like, well... cereal and cartoons. When we were kids, there were no cable channels with 24 hour cartoons. We woke up early on Saturday and plopped down in front of the TV (with a measly four channels) and binged on late 70's to early 80's classics like The Jetsons, Flintstones, Tom & Jerry and Bugs Bunny. By late morning, cartoons were over till next week and mom would kick us outside.

I still love cartoons today. Family Guy, the Simpsons and SpongeBob are some of my favorites. Then I had kids and my cartoon watching became more like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Sofia the First, Sheriff Callie and The Loud House. Some of the kids cartoons are not too bad. I actually enjoy The Loud House quite a bit. The jingle is now stuck in my head for the rest of the day.

Welcome to the Loud House, where life can get pretty crazy. One boy, TEN girls?! Lincoln Loud wouldn’t change it for the world!

This week on Twitter, #CartoonsThatShouldReturn was trending and it looks like people are pretty passionate about their cartoons.

Adult Swim had some great shows, including the gem called Aqua Teen Hunger Fest! The meatball was the best.

One cartoon I really wish they would bring back to life is Ren & Stimpy. We all know Hollywood is all about the remakes. I'm surprised they haven't brought some of these old cartoons back.
