After a return performance to the stage last night, Jeff Lynne said that there may be more performances from Electric Light Orchestra in the future. Lynne performed with ELO as part of BBC Radio 2's Festival in a Day in London's Hyde Park.

The band played a 75-minute set loaded with classic songs from the band's hits-stuffed catalog. At one point, according to NME, Lynne told the audience, "I'll do this again."

It was the first time ELO played a full concert in 28 years. In addition to playing many of his band's popular songs, Lynne paid tribute to his late Traveling Wilburys bandmates George Harrison and Roy Orbison during the set with a performance of their first single, 'Handle With Care.'

The band itself included one other original ELO member, keyboardist Richard Tandy, plus the BBC Concert Orchestra. They ran through many of the group's '70s hits, including 'Evil Woman,' 'Living Thing,' 'Sweet Talkin' Woman,' 'Turn to Stone' and 'Mr. Blue Sky,' which you can watch in the above video.

After the opening song, 'All Over the World,' Lynne told the crowd, "Wow, fantastic. It's unbelievable ... I haven't done anything like this for so long, I can't believe it."

The band was supposed to reunite for a tour in 2000, but those plans were pushed aside. It seems now that Lynne is getting serious about bringing the group back on the road. At the end of the night, he called their performance "the best fun we've ever had."
