February is the month of Valentine’s Day, and there’s nothing we love more than new movies in the theater. Check out our guide to the films hitting the big screen in February.

February 1

Bullet to the Head — Directed by Walter Hill. Starring Sylvester Stallone and Jason Momoa. When their partners are killed, a cop and a hitman find they have an enemy in common and team up to bring him down.

Stand Up Guys‘ — Directed by Fisher Stevens. Starring Alan Arkin, Al Pacino, and Christopher Walken. A couple of con men try to get their crew back together one last time before one of them is faced with his final assignment to kill his friend.

Warm Bodies‘ — Directed by Jonathan Levine. Starring Nicholas Hoult, Teresa Palmer, and John Malkovich. In a zombie-plagued world, one zombie is starting to become human again, and falls for the girlfriend of one of his victims.

‘Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia’ (Limited) — Directed by Tom Elkins. Starring Abigail Spencer, Chad Michael Murray, and Katee Sackhoff. When a family moves to a new home in Georgia, they discover their home is haunted and they’re not alone.

February 8

Side Effects‘ — Directed by Steven Soderbergh. Starring Rooney Mara, Channing Tatum, and Jude Law. Struggling with anxiety due to her husband’s impending release from prison, a young woman seeks the aid of a psychiatrist and prescription drugs.

Identity Thief‘ — Directed by Seth Gordon. Starring Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy. A mild-mannered businessman discovers a woman has stolen his identity, so he hits the road to find her.

‘Top Gun’ (3D) — Directed by Tony Scott. Starring Tom Cruise and Kelly McGillis. Students at a US flying school for advanced pilots engage in friendly competition, and one of them falls for the teacher.

A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III‘ (Limited) — Directed by Roman Coppola. Starring Charlie Sheen, Jason Schwartzman, and Bill Murray. When his girlfriend breaks up with him, a graphic designer heads down a quirky spiral of self-loathing and regret.

February 14

Beautiful Creatures‘ — Directed by Richard LaGravenese. Starring Alice Englert, Viola Davis, and Emma Thompson. When small-town Ethan meets the mysterious Lena, the pair discover secrets about their families, their history, and the town in which they live.

Escape from Planet Earth‘ — Directed by Cal Brunker. Starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Brendan Fraser, and Jessica Alba. An astronaut gets caught in a trap when he responds to a distress signal from a dangerous alien planet in this animated adventure.

A Good Day to Die Hard‘ — Directed by John Moore. Starring Bruce Willis, Jai Courtney, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. John McClane heads to Russia to help his wayward son, who turns out to be a CIA operative, and together the pair work to bring down a nuclear weapons plot.

Safe Haven‘ — Directed by Lasse Hallstrom. Starring Cobie Smulders, Julianne Hough, and Josh Duhamel. Based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks, this movie follows a young woman who moves to North Carolina and begins a relationship with a widower, forcing her to confront her own dark past.

February 15

Ginger and Rosa‘ (Limited) — Directed by Sally Potter. Starring Elle Fanning and Christina Hendricks. As the Cuban missile crisis sets everyone into a panic, the lives of two young girls and best friends are torn apart when one betrays the other.

February 22

Dark Skies‘ — Directed by Scott Charles Stewart. Starring Keri Russell and Josh Hamilton. A family’s peaceful life is torn asunder by increasingly disturbing events, leading them to discover that a dark force is after them.

Snitch‘ — Directed by Ric Roman Waugh. Starring Dwayne Johnson, Susan Sarandon, and Jon Bernthal. When his son is set up in a drug deal and sent to prison, his father goes undercover for the DEA to clear his name.
