Take a bunch of nuns, a few bikers, the former lead singer of Skid Row, and Extreme’s guitarist, and what do you have?

Just another day on the set of ‘Rock of Ages.’

The hit Broadway musical, currently being adapted into a feature film starring Tom Cruise, enlisted the aid of singer Sebastian Bach and guitarist Nuno Bettencourt for a recent scene. According to a post on Bach’s Facebook page, the duo stayed up “all night” for the shoot, which turned the Miami set into something “that looks exactly like Hollywood.”

‘Rock of Ages’ got its start in Los Angeles, where its affectionate use of ’80s rock classics to help tell the story of an aspiring rocker’s rise and fall made it a huge hit and helped send the show to New York, where a successful off-Broadway run led to Broadway, a North American tour, and Hollywood.

According to the film’s director, Adam Shankman, Cruise has prepared for his role by “studying with — seriously — Axl Rose’s voice teacher like five hours a day. The prognosis is more than excellent.”
