Dio to Release 1986 Concert in Multiple Formats

Fans of the late, great Ronnie James Dio and his band Dio can relive the group's glory years with the upcoming re-release of a 1986 concert in Philadelphia. 'Finding the Sacred Heart -- Live in Philly 1986' will be available on CD, vinyl, DVD and Blu-ray on May 28.

Killing the Dragon is Dio's ninth studio album. It was released May 21, 2002 through Spitfire Records and was produced by front man Ronnie James Dio. A re-release in 2007 puts Killing the Dragon together with Magica.

Since early 2011, there’s been plenty of talk about a star-studded Ronnie James Dio tribute album.

Well, it looks like 2012 will be the year it finally arrives. And the list of artists lined up to honor the late solo singer and onetime Black Sabbath and Rainbow frontman is quite impressive: Rob Halford (Judas Priest), Ian Gillan (Deep Purple), Lemmy Kilmister (Motorhead) and Dave Grohl (Nirvana and Foo Fighters), among others.
