For a guy whose longtime nickname is 'Little Bastard,' John Mellencamp sure can be a softie when it comes to the right cause -- or if he's approached by famous pals like, say, actor Matthew McConaughey, recording artist Jack Ingram, and University of Texas football coach Mack Brown.

Today we looked back at Guns N’ Roses during happier times, we saw the speeches ZZ Top and John Mellencamp gave while ushering in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, and we learned hope springs eternal for Kiss. Plus we celebrated the half-century mark for Bob Dylan’s landmark ‘Blowin’ in the Wind,’ the Talking Heads’ album ‘Fear of Music’ got the 33 1/3 treatment, and Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick

Talk about a "Wild Night".  You gotta be thinking, how's this gonna go down in the big apple.  I for one love a good broadway show, and I'm crazy about them both.  But I'm not sure the world's gonna think this is a good idea.  Check out this little nugget here...
