We are fast approaching Memorial Day Weekend, the busiest travel weekend of the year. Thousands of Montanans will load up their family car and jump onto the highways of Montana for a little spring adventure.

Since there's an apparent meat shortage happening and prices for steaks and burgers are shooting higher at the grocery store, throwing a portabello mushroom on the grill this weekend is sounding like a great idea. And have you ever grilled a peach?
First off, you have to start with the right meat. It needs to be 80/20. I know many are tempted to buy the extra lean stuff either for health reasons, or because they assume since it costs more it tastes better...not the case with burgers. If you start with that 93% lean stuff, you'll end up with dry, crumbly burgers. As far as seasoning the meat goes, here's all I do:

Well, if you're like me,we just can't wait for the company to pay us for another day off. My wife get's a lot more holidays than I do and I say good for her. My next holiday is Memorial Day, Monday, May 30th.
That means a three-day weekend...
As I sit here reviewing Facebook and seeing all of the Memorial Day messages of hope and acknowledgements for our U.S. Military, I think of all the soldiers, men and women that I know.
