It's been 20 years since Ritchie Blackmore left Deep Purple, and by all accounts, both he and the band are happier now. Still, some fans will never stop hoping for a reunion -- something that, according to singer Ian Gillan, will never happen.

From his days with Deep Purple and Rainbow to his current gig fronting Blackmore's Night, guitarist Ritchie Blackmore has always forged his own trail. It's something, as he recently explained during a Russian television interview, he attributes to his fondness for daydreaming.
